| It was a beautiful day for this kind
of work. Our goal was to remove the panels and load them onto a flatbed
truck. |
 |
| Rick Haskins spent most of the morning
working on the west side with a little help from Tom Patterson in his
flying bucket. |
 |
| Tom Jones makes sparks as he uses a
band saw to cut through electrical conduit. |
 |
| Camille Armantrout helps carry a piece
of paneling to the flat bed. |
 |
| Bob Armantrout and Peter Bridgman
worked all day removing panels from the roof. |
 |
| Lowering the loose panels down from
the roof was a precarious business. |
 |
| We all took turns riding in the lift
bucket. |
 |
| Tom takes a break |
 |
| All 7 men (Clockwise from bottom left
corner: Ricardo, Peter, Bob, Tom P, Tom J & 2 volunteers) launch a
final assault. |
 |
| Finally, the last panel! The
photographer held her breath, wondering if Peter were going to come down
with it! |
 |
| At the end of the day, there wasn't
even on strip of aluminum paneling on the barn. |
 |
| With expert coaching from our fearless
leader, Tom Patterson, the crew prepared to remove the trusses. |
 |
| Bob's midlife answer to monkey bars -
what could be more fun than climbing around on the skeleton of a Pole
Barn? |
 |
| After hooking a chain from the bucket
to the first truss, a strap is tied to one end and the truss is guided
over to the flat bed. |
