What Else is
Berthoud Habitat doing?
April 2007 - Peter Bridgman - Boardmember
& Fundraising Manager
Construction of House #2
We plan to start digging the foundation on House #2 any time now.
Then the construction moves into full swing. We plan to take the show on the
road, but how can we do that? Well we plan to bring a bunch of 2 x 4 studs to
your church and invite you to take one home and paint it, sign it or even put
your favorite scripture on it. When done then return it to the job site on
4th Street
and
Water Ave.
We will then incorporate your specially prepared stud right into the house. So
a part of your spirit will protect our partnering family.
Our Partnering Family
If you are a member of
Grace Place
or if you have eaten at the Light House Café then you probably know the Dad
Damion as he is the Assistant Chef at the Light House Café. His wife Kristen
and their 3 children. We are delighted and proud to have the Daniels as our
partnering family. We will make a great team and we are all anxious to get
started on the construction.
The Thrift Store
Sharon Gingerich is doing a fantastic job along with Robin Hughes and
the rest of the Thrift Store crew. They are delighted to see donations from all
of you and hope you will continue to replenish the store with more good stuff.
Our customers keep coming back to buy more at great prices. This is having a
huge impact on our fund raising efforts. You will be able to see what we are
spending this money on as the next home takes shape. THANK YOU for your support.
Berthoud 5k Run for Habitat
Once again we are starting to organize this event for the morning of
Berthoud Day June 2nd. It will be on the same course as before. If you own a
business in town, you will be contacted soon to be a sponsor of this annual
event. More news about the race will be available nearer the time.
